Call to Action - Latina's for Harris Zoom Call

Grass-root organizations are forming with unprecedented ferver for Democratic Presidential potential, Kamala Harris. Last Sunday evening, a virtual gathering was held on Zoom, with a total of 40,000 participants, predominantly consisting of black women, who voiced their support and plans for a successful Harris campaign. The group raised a staggering 1.5 Million dollars!

Similarly, the Latina's for Harris gathered on Zoom tonight, bringing even more enthusiasm to the campaign. The virtual meeting had a lively atmosphere like a pep rally, yet it also emphasized the importance of focusing on the future of Harris' campaign. I joined the call shortly after it began and was greeted by 2,000 other participants. The number quickly increased to 3,000, but unfortunately, the chat reached its limit there. The chat was filled with greetings from various locations across the country, and the speakers joined in from Wilmington, DE, Philadelphia, PA, and Chicago, IL.

The goal was to demonstrate the strength of uniting for a common purpose. It involves a continuous initiative to fundraise and mobilize at a local level, as emphasized by speaker Julie Chavez Rodriguez, who stated that it is essential to advocate for a cause rather than simply opposing Trump.

Despite being short, the call lasted only thirty minutes but showed the shift in energy within the democratic political atmosphere.
