U.S.A GYMNASTICS OLYMPIC TEAM TRIALS - 2024

The road to Paris is coming to an exciting conclusion, as the 2024 U.S. Gymnastics Olympic Team Trials taking will take place this week, on June 27th-30th in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Each of the Sixteen qualifying athletes will compete towards their spot on the Olympic team, with five spots to award, (and three alternate positions!), the competition will be fierce. We will all know our champion Gymnastics Team soon- Good luck, ladies!


 

Sixteen women have qualified for the opportunity to compete for their spot to be one of five athletes to represent the United Stated in Paris France for the 2024 Olympic Games:


  • Simone Biles — Spring, Texas/World Champions Centre

  • Skye Blakely — Frisco, Texas/WOGA Gymnastics

  • Jade Carey — Phoenix, Ariz./Oregon State University

  • Dulcy Caylor — Spring, Texas/World Champions Centre

  • Jordan Chiles — Vancouver, Wash./World Champions Centre

  • Kayla DiCello — Boyds, Md./Hill’s Gymnastics

  • Shilese Jones — Auburn, Wash./Ascend Gymnastics Center

  • Suni Lee — St. Paul, Minn./Midwest Gymnastics Center

  • Kaliya Lincoln — Frisco, Texas/WOGA Gymnastics

  • Eveylynn Lowe — Blue Springs, Mo./Great American Gymnastics Express

  • Zoey Molomo — Frisco, Texas/Metroplex Gymnastics

  • Hezly Rivera — Oradell, N.J./WOGA Gymnastics

  • Joscelyn Roberson — Texarkana, Texas/World Champions Centre

  • Simone Rose — Sammamish, Wash./Pacific Reign Gymnastics

Here's a little bit about them;


Simone Biles

Simone Biles The Goat. America's sweetheart. Mrs. Owens. Champion- Whatever you know her as, Simone Biles' name is a familiar name on the list as a fan favorite for her past successes as an Olympic Team Member of both the 2016 Rio team Games, and 2020 Tokyo Games.

Simone has consistently proven herself as a dominant force in gymnastics, earning widespread admiration for her exceptional performance and resilience. Her decision to withdraw from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, citing the "Twisties," underscored her commitment to prioritizing her well-being over competition.

Her journey to Paris signifies a remarkable comeback, highlighting her determination and strength in facing challenges head-on.



Suni Lee

Suni Lee's journey to Olympic glory is nothing short of inspirational. Hailing from St. Paul, Minnesota, Suni trains rigorously at Midwest Gymnastics Center, honing her craft under the watchful eyes of dedicated coaches. Her dedication and perseverance culminated in a spectacular performance at Tokyo, where she clinched the coveted Gold Medal in the Women's All-Around competition.

This remarkable achievement not only underscored her exceptional skill but also showcased her ability to thrive under pressure on the grandest stage of all.

Suni took home the Bronze Medal for Uneven Bars, and assisted Team U.S.A. to a Silver finish for the team All-around. Suni is currently a member of the Auburn Georgia gymnastics team.


Jade Carey

Jade Carey is another decorated champion from the 2020 Tokyo Olympic games, where she won the Gold Medal for the Floor Exercise. Jade is coached by her father, Brian Carey- reminiscent of beloved 2008 Beijing Olympic champion, Nastia Liukin who was also coached by her own father, Valeri Liukin. Talk about families with hobbies.

Jade is a member of the Oregon State Gymnastics Team and this past year accomplished a "gym-slam"- A recognition a gymnast earns when they score a perfect 10 on every event at least once during a career. Jade is one of 13 women's gymnasts to complete a gym slam in their college careers, and joins Trinity Thomas as the only active gymnasts to have accomplished the feat.



Leanne Wong

Leanne Wong - As a lifelong fan of the University of Florida and a passionate follower of gymnastics, it's exciting to highlight the journey of Leanne Wong, a standout athlete whose talent and dedication have propelled her to remarkable achievements both nationally and in collegiate sports.

Leanne was selected as an alternate for the 2020 Tokyo olympic Games, and has had a very successful collegiate career.

Leanne is a 22-time All-American athlete- A title given to outstanding U.S. athletes for either athletic achievement a a championship event or by being selection by members of the coaches association.



Jordan Chiles

Jordan Chiles - In the dynamic world of gymnastics, where precision meets passion, Jordan Chiles stands out as a vibrant and accomplished athlete. With a career marked by perseverance and notable achievements, Jordan has become a household name in the sport, captivating audiences with her skill and infectious energy.

Now, Jordan is gearing up for another remarkable feat at the Olympic Games, marking her return with determination and drive. Hailing from Spring, Texas, Jordan trains at World Champions Centre in preparation for her second Olympic appearance.




Skye Blakely

Skye Blakely returns, undeterred, after a vaulting injury took her out of the running for a spot on the 2020 Tokyo Olympic team. Showing a strong comeback at the recent 2024 U.S. Championships, Skye scored an impressive 113.85 All- Around and accomplished a second place finish, behind Simone Biles.

Dulcy Caylor

Dulcy Caylor - At just 17 years old, Dulcy has already begun to make her mark on the international stage, showcasing her skill and determination as she pursues her dreams in the sport.

Dulcy journey in gymnastics is anchored at the prestigious World Champions Centre in Spring, Texas, a renowned hub for cultivating top-tier talent.

Dulcy's performance at the Winter Cup, where she secured an impressive fifth-place finish, further solidified her status as a promising gymnast with a bright future ahead.






Kayla DiCello


Kayla DiCello another esteemed alumna of the University of Florida Gators, continues to elevate her gymnastics career under the expert guidance of Hill's Gymnastics in Boyds, Maryland.

Kayla was selected as an alternate for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic games, and recently showcased her talents with success at the 2024 U.S. World Championships, where she clinched the Bronze medal for the All- Around with a stellar performance.






Tiana Sumanasekera

Tiana Sumanasekera trains at World Champions Centre in Spring Texas. She is the 2023 Pan American all-around and balance beam champion, and took home the bronze medal for the Floor Exercise at the recent 2024 U.S. National Championship competition.

Tiana is believed to be the first gymnast of Sri Lankan descent to represent the U.S. in international competition.







Zoey Molomo

Zoey Molomo trains at Metroplex Complex in McKinney, Texas. Much of last year, Zoey was recovering from a ruptured achilles tendon injury. After receiving surgery and much recovery, Zoey got back to training. Her determination clearly paid off, for a chance at the 2024 Olympic Games.








Shilese Jones

Shilese Jones trains at Ascend Gymnastics Center in Edgewood Washington. Shilese is a powerhouse on the Uneven Bars, winning the gold on the individual event at her last four most recent competitions.

Shilese was also a University of Florida, Gator, graduating in 2024.







Kaliya Lincoln

Kaliya Lincoln is a powerhouse on Floor Exercise. 2024 Winter Cup floor exercise silver medalist. Kaliya trains at WOGA Gymnastics in Frisco Texas.










Hezly Rivera


Hezly Rivera's journey to success reached new heights at the 2024 Winter Cup, where she showcased her exceptional skill and precision on the balance beam, ultimately securing the championship Gold medal in the event. She additionally won the Bronze Medal for Floor Exercise. Her flawless execution and focus set her apart from her competitors, earning her well-deserved recognition as a rising star in the sport.

Simone Rose

Simone Rose has emerged as a promising young athlete - At just fifteen years old, Simone's journey is already marked by significant successes, showcasing her prowess and potential on the international stage.

Simone is youngest of the sixteen athletes that will be competing for her spot on Team U.S.A.. As a member of Team USA at the Pacific Rim Championships, she played a pivotal role in securing the team's first-place finish. Individually she also won gold on uneven bars and floor exercise.

Evey Lowe

Evey Lowe trains at Great American Gymnastics Express in Blue Springs, Missouri. Evey placed sixth place for Balance Beam at the 2024 U.S. Gymnastics Championships.

Joselyn Roberson trains at World Champions Centre in Spring Texas. She took home Gold in the Vault Exercise at the 2022 and 2023 Winter cup.
